This year, we became one of the partners of the DIÁČEK 2026 children’s camp. We supported this regional project with a financial contribution towards this year’s camp.
A Camp Where Diabetes Is Not a Barrier
DIÁČEK is a residential camp that brings together children with type 1 diabetes and their peers without diabetes. Its main aim is to allow children to enjoy their summer holidays to the fullest while providing them with the necessary medical care and a safe environment.

The fourth edition of the camp took place this year at the Sklář recreation centre in Ostružno and welcomed a total of 87 children aged approximately 7 to 15. Children with diabetes benefit from continuous medical supervision throughout their stay and can join the other participants in games, sports activities and trips.
One of the great benefits of the camp is the natural interaction between children with diabetes and their peers without diabetes. They spend the entire stay together, gain new experiences and make new friends. At the same time, children with diabetes learn to become more independent in managing their condition.

We Are Glad to Have Been Part of It
Supporting local projects focused on children and young people is one of the areas we have been committed to for many years. We are therefore pleased that this year we were also able to contribute to making the DIÁČEK camp possible.
We received a thank-you note from the organisers for our support, which we greatly appreciate. Our thanks, however, go above all to all the organisers, healthcare professionals and volunteers involved in preparing and running the camp, enabling the children to spend a week together full of memorable experiences.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of DIÁČEK 2026. We wish the entire project many more successful years.
